I grew up on the Oregon coast, graduated from Neah-Ka-Nie High School in Rockaway Beach. I worked at my mother's restaurant as a teen, and on ocean charter boats during the summer. After high school I served in the US Coast Guard.
After serving in the US Coast Guard, I moved to central Oregon with the goal of working for the Sheriff's Office. My wife Rachel, of 22+ years, and I have raised two great kids, Kaitlyn and Graysen, and have two dogs, Sage and Ember, and a new granddaughter. We all enjoy central Oregon's outdoors.
